| "Who's the new guy?" |
Once again I don't think I'm jealous I'm just telling the honest truth. Do I wish I could be like him? No! Okay maybe a little, but he is truly a disgrace to the kingdom and highly insane. OK, so what if he can defeat all of the monsters that I couldn't like Grendel, Grendel's mother, and the dragon. I would've did it with one eye closed and my hands tired behind my back. Beowulf just had to be a show off and use his so called "bravery", "loyalty", and all that other crap. I mean he's strong and all but he just had to steal all the fame from me so he could be the top warrior. Maybe I shouldn't have even challenged to set himself up for the it. I would've used all my Anglo-Saxon qualities to boost up my rank just a tad. Then, after he did all I said he couldn't do I'm suppose to thank him? Ha, no sir'e. He still did not prove anything to me, and speaking of that he didn't even use the powers God had given him. He fought angrily, and betrayed his Christian sword. Like for real, what's his problem? How can he betray the code, and religion and still be forgiven? If it were me I'd have a price tag on my head right about now. (Whisper) They're just scared of him.

I can certainly concur on Beowulf's audacious bravery, and can see how you might think him a madman for what he has done- or preaches to do, depending on when you are writing this.
ReplyDeleteHowever, mind you that the feats he boasts on about are rather difficult ones, and I myself am no lightweight, if I might say so myself. Well, I wasn't, but now I find myself somewhat lighter due to the lack of a specific limb.
Now that I think about it, wasn't that sword yours, Unferth? Don't you own the sword of Hrunting? I find that to be a slap to the face: he barely even uses the sword you gave to him! Although, it didn't exactly hurt my mother, so maybe I can't blame him...
